Hi, I’m matt - a designer, videographer & podcaster based in new jersey.
This is a collection of artwork that I've made over the past few years. Some are Album covers I designed for a friend and some are illustrations that were originally designed for t-shirts and movie poster ideas.
When I create a logo, I always go about it the same way. I design 5-10 concepts for the client to view and have them pick the two that they like the most. I'll continue working on on those until I have a final decision from the client. These are a few examples of logos I've made including my own.
When I worked at the e-commerce website, Shoplet, I was in charge of designing all the email and website banners for upcoming sales. I created anywhere form 5-10 a week and these are just a few examples. The smaller banners are for email flyers and the bigger ones for posted on the website.
These are recognition awards, also known as deal toys. While working at a company that makes these, I would create anywhere from 10-20 a day. I would receive instructions from another artist or an account manager. Following the instructions, I would first make the flat views in Adobe Illustrator then render the objects in 3D using Strata. Here are a few examples
While working at an entertainment advertising company, I had the opportunity to collaborate with other artists on a lot of projects and learn a lot about the process of making a movie poster. I was given the chance to design back covers for DVDs and Blu-rays as well as their sell sheets. I also designed multiple ads that were published in many newspapers and magazines in New York City.
